The Difference Between Dennis & King and a Billboard Firm

The Difference Between Dennis & King and a Billboard Firm

Tricia Dennis (00:04)
Hi, Trisha Dennis of the law firm Dennis and King. Today I’m answering the question, what’s the difference between Dennis and King and a Billboard firm? Well, first of all, all, we aren’t a personal injury settlement meal. We don’t settle low and go. Second, you’re never going to see Mr.

Tricia Dennis (00:27)
King and I on TV during every commercial break, standing on trucks or telling you with fake sincerity. Trust us, we don’t claim to be your hometown firm, though that means whoever claims that is a particularly smart lawyer who knows the best way to handle your case. We don’t even have a catchy line like Chaching to show you when the bus goes by. No, we don’t rely on spending millions of dollars on TV or billboards to get cases. Instead, we rely on getting cases the old fashioned way.

Tricia Dennis (01:07)
We rely upon having satisfied, delighted clients to get our cases. In fact, it satisfied former clients, other attorneys and health care professionals that refer most of our clients to us because they know we’ll take care of our clients. So what does it mean to hire an old fashioned firm like Dennis and King instead of a Billboard or TV firm? It means every year we only accept a limited number of injury and accident cases from hundreds of people who ask us to represent them. How are we different from personal injury settlement meals?

Tricia Dennis (01:58)
In many important ways? Here’s just a few. We don’t allow paralegals and assistance to negotiate your case with the insurance company. We don’t allow assistance and paralegals to write our demand letters for settlements to insurance companies, Mr. King or I do that personally.

Tricia Dennis (02:22)
If you let Dennis and King handle your case, you know who handled your case. That’s right. Either me, Tricia Dennis, or Mr. King. Not some young associate that graduated from law school last week, or even worse, a paralegal.

Tricia Dennis (02:41)
We don’t work with chiropractors who take what is left after the lawyers get through with their fees. We get you to a real physician. If you don’t have one or can’t afford one, we get you to a real physical therapist whether you can afford one or not. And if you need even more advanced treatment but have no health insurance or can’t afford it, we have medical finance partners we work with to arrange that as well. Finally, we take a few cases a month, not hundreds a month.

Tricia Dennis (03:19)
Fewer cases mean more time for you in your case. We think more time for your case means a better result in your case. If we accept your case and you are not local to us, we’ll even come to you anywhere in Tennessee and Georgia. Since 1974, my partner, Mr. Russell King, has represented accident, injury and disability claimants throughout Tennessee and Georgia.

Tricia Dennis (03:49)
Unlike some TV lawyers who seem to think it more important than anything to appear tough, Mr. King is a really smart lawyer, maybe the best trial lawyer I’ve ever seen and an incredibly savvy negotiator. I guess that’s why he doesn’t have to stand on a truck or go to cheating to get business. As for me, Tricia Dennis, I’ve represented accident, injury and disability claimants throughout Georgia and Tennessee since 1988. I think Ronald Reagan was President when I started.

Tricia Dennis (04:29)
My specialty is knowing as much as possible about our clients medical condition and making sure we can always prove our clients medical disability is the result of the accident. And since I’ve been negotiating with insurance companies for gosh, Nyon, 32 years I think I’ve learned a thing or two about how to maximize our client’s recovery. Now when you’re thinking about a lawsuit after you’ve been injured, you need to know if a lawyer can help get you a good settlement or win your case. If that’s the case with your claim, we’re going to tell you straight up not hold anything back. And believe it or not, we’ll also tell you if we think you would get more money by handling the claim yourself without an attorney taking a fee.

Tricia Dennis (05:25)
If your case is the kind of case that we think we can make a difference in and we think we can get a better result than you could get on your own and we accept your case. You will receive our personal attention. We will be loyal to you, we’ll be aggressive with the insurance company, we’ll keep you well informed and we’ll give you plenty of advice and information on whether you should settle or go to trial. We’re the no surprise law firm. We’re going to explain all fees and costs to you fully before we start working on your case.

Tricia Dennis (06:07)
We’ll work for you, not the other way around. Together as a team, we’re going to decide what is best for your case and help you make the best legal decision you can make for you. Now, if you think your case deserves old fashioned personal attention Call us at 423-892-5533 Dennis and King we can help even if you don’t hire us.

Personal injury

In almost all personal injury claims, insurance companies will offer you significantly less than what you deserve. It’s tempting to accept the first offer, especially if you are in a great deal of pain and unable to return to work. But if you’ve already taken a devalued settlement from the insurance company and your medical bills start to pile up, there’s little legal recourse to ask for more. That’s why it’s crucial to involve a Chattanooga personal injury lawyer before you even file a claim.

Trucking Accidents

Truck accidents in the United States are on the rise. Recent statistics show that almost 150,000 people are injured in truck accidents each year, and 6,000 people are killed. The regional area of Georgia and Tennessee is a crossroads and a center for car manufacturing, river traffic, and other industries. Large trucks, semi-trucks, 18-wheelers, and other commercial vehicles are constantly on the road. This has a downside as frequent truck accidents occur on I-75, I-24, I-59, Highway 153, U.S. 27, Amnicola Highway, Corridor J, and other roadways. If you or a loved one has been injured in a Georgia or Tennessee truck accident, you may be eligible for substantial compensation.

ATV Accidents

Under both Tennessee and Georgia law, ATVs are not authorized for use on paved road, but children continue to bring ATVs on to our roads and highways. Georgia and Tennessee laws also prohibit the carrying of passengers on most ATVs, require children below the age of 16 to take approved ATV training courses, and require kids younger than 16 to wear helmets, eye protection, and over-the-ankle boots when operating ATVs. However, these requirements apply only when ATVs are operated on public lands, leaving kids essentially without protection when riding ATVs on private property.

About ATV Accidents >

Bicycle Accidents

The most tragic type of bicycle crash is a bike-car collision. Cyclists are completely defenseless traveling on 30-pound bikes when they’re surrounded by 3,000-pound cars and trucks racing by them. Pedestrians, defective bike parts, recalled bike helmets, and other ineffective bicycle safety equipment can also cause bicycle accidents. Bike accidents can result in wrongful death or serious injuries such as broken bones, amputation, traumatic brain injury, neck, back, and spinal cord injuries.

About Bicycle Accidents >

Boating Accidents

One of three factors usually cause boat accidents: an inexperienced boater, an intoxicated operator, or a boat malfunction. More than a third of both fatal and non-fatal boat accidents are alcohol-related. It is estimated that boat operators with a blood alcohol content of .10 or higher are 10 times more likely to be injured or killed in a boat accident than sober operators.
